Benjamin Escotto [EH]
From: Benjamin Escotto [EH]
Sent: Wednesday, November 04, 2015 4:09 PM
To: 'Stacy Pinola'
Subject: RE: SJDC Medical Inspection
Hello Stacy,
I reviewed the documentation you submitted and have the following comments:
1. The Medical Waste Management Plan looks good. No further action required on this issue.
2. Removal of the designated pathology container that is not labeled properly is fine. However whatever
container/drum that is designated for storage of pathology waste must be labeled"Pathology Waste" or
"PATH" on the lid and sides. No further documentation will be required to submit to me on this issue. Just
ensure the path container, if any, is properly labeled.
3. The records you submitted do not show that the waste was received/treated by a treatment facility. I just read
your signature and the hauler signature. What I'm looking for is a signature or some indicator(like Stericycle's
stamp of treatment) of treatment. I presume the last signature line (Designated Disposal/Transfer Facility) on
the shipping and tracking document would be the appropriate place. But it is blank on both documents you
submitted.
Contact me with any questions.
Ben Escotto, Senior RENS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
1868 E.
