Infectious Waste Products <br /> The following shall be considered as infectious waste in Planned Parenthood <br /> of San Joaquin Valley Clinics. <br /> a. Disposable Hypodermic needles and syringes. <br /> b. Monolet Lancets <br /> II. Collection and Disposal - North Clinic, Pilgrim, and Modesto Clinics <br /> a. Hypodermic equipment, syringes and needles, m <br /> use-of the -#p before being discarded in a designated disposable <br /> carton labeled infectious waste and lined with a disposable red plastic <br /> bag. When box is 3/4 full, it is to be sealed and placed in the large <br /> collection box supplied by American Environmental Management Corporation. <br /> b. Lancets are immediately dropped into the red Destruelip puncture- <br /> 4 - lstant container after, use without being broken in any way. <br /> When Destruclip container is 3/4 full, proceed as above (empty into the <br /> designated disposal carton and t en_into the Enviornmental C etion <br /> .� Box) <br /> c. Appropriate destruction and disposable of syringes and needles <br /> - in locations as close as possible to the area where used is required. <br /> III. Removal of-Infectious Waste: <br /> Special pick up 's ce on 2-hour response to call--will be supplied by <br /> American Environmental Management Corporation, Registered Biohazardous Waste <br /> Hauler. <br /> V.
