These receptacles are lined with red plastic bags labeled <br /> "Biohazardous Waste" . The words are in both English and Spanish. <br /> Needles, syringes, etc. are contained in "Sharps" containers . <br /> After three quarters full these are taped and stored waiting for <br /> our weekly pick up service. <br /> Red bags from the receptacles and "Sharps" containers are stored in <br /> a plastic bin labeled "Infectious Waste" . A well-fitted lid <br /> secures the top of this bin. <br /> Waste is transported from our Ham Lane office to our holding bin at <br /> Vine Street , Waste is carried in a plastic bucket lined with a red <br /> bag. Authorized employees transporting this waste are trained to <br /> wear protective clothing and gloves if warranted. <br /> Our biohazardous and/or infectious waste is picked up weekly by <br /> Metro Reclaiming Inc. of Sacramento, California. Their U.S. EPA <br /> I .D. number is CAD982445132. The waste is treated and disposed of <br /> by Integrated Environmental Systems of Oakland, California. <br />
