The trihalomethanes are being introduced after the Groundwater Treatment
Discharge point (probably the sewage treatment plant).
Those 601/602 contaminants detected in NB & SB effluents were not detected at
outfall. Need for media replacement/cleaning is being evaluated. The small
quantities detected in effluent were volatilized prior to reaching the outfall.
BTEX compounds were not detected in water treatment effluents. Levels of toluene
and benzene detected were below the MCL's for drinking water of 150 and 1 ug/L,
respectively.
SAMPLING DATE
11/07/94
11/14/94
11/21/94
11/28/94
AVERAGE
17
a.2
NB Influent
10
Chloroform
2.66
8.09
ND
ND
2.94
Toluene
0.66
ND
ND
ND
0.54
Benzene
ND
ND
0.77
ND
0.57
Bromodichloromethane
ND
0.85
ND
ND
0.59
Total 601/602
3.32
8.94
0.77
ND
4.64
2.
