Coast Guard <br /> .From the Arcady Oil Company waste disposal site on Whiskey Slough <br /> extension) oil was allowed to-' enter Whiskey Slough extension and thence - <br /> FACT into "Whiskey Slough proper. <br />�rruuiox <br /> Arcady Oil Company; under a waste discharge permit from the Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, operates a disposal site <br /> on Whiskey Slough. Material depos' ited at the site is well drilling <br /> clay and material cleaned from various gas wells. No oil was to be <br /> allowed. <br /> Oil having been deposited .at the disposal site washed down to the <br /> almost non-existant levies along Whiskey Slough. These levies have not <br /> been maintained and are full of holes allowing materials from the <br /> disposal- site to enter the slough. Also a, section of thelevie washed <br /> out allowing much material to enter the 'slough. <br /> Oil from this disposal site has entered Whiskey Slough extension and <br /> fouled much of the plant life along its claore. The poluted water then <br /> flowed from this section of the Slough into Whiskey Slough proper where <br /> it reportedly fouled the' drinking water of the Whiskey Slough Harbor <br /> Resort. There is still a large quantity of this oil in the water at the <br /> �xUin,aa o <br /> , jisit8f the area around the resort determined that oil was indeed <br /> entering Whiskey Slough from the poluted extension. <br /> Pictures and samples were taken.
