Box 2009 <br />Stockton, CA 95201 <br />CITY OF STOCKTON AUSTTN ROAD LANDFILL SITE'PERMIT '#39' -:AA --01 <br />We are experiencing difficulty in correcting the deficiency <br />Notice of Inspections City of Stockton Austin Road Landfill <br />dated January 5, 1983. An example of the problem is Item 5, <br />"Bird Control Not Adequate". The same bird control method has <br />been used successfully for several years. What changes can be <br />made which will again make our efforts adequate. Another <br />example is Item 7, "Grease Trap Pumpings Being Dumped Over The <br />Face Making Cover Difficulty. Waste discharge requirements <br />for the site require that wet waste be mixed with dry waste. <br />What measures can be taken which will comply with the require- <br />ments of both agencies. <br />The only personnel at the working face of the landfill site at <br />the time of the inspection was the Equipment Operator. He is <br />not qualified to answer questions concerning the site and he <br />is not qualified to receive instructions concerning the operation <br />of the site.
