ROOM 202
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95202
July 26, 1977
Amos J. Hunt
7210 South Austin Road
Stockton, California 95205
RE: Our Case #77-157
Dear Mr. Hunt:
We are in receipt of your letter of July 23, 1977,
wherein you state that this past week has been the
worst that you have had this year. You noted over
30 scavenger trucks littering South Austin Road
with papers, debris, and plastic bags.
In this letter, you note 11 license plate numbers
from these trucks.
For your information, the San Joaquin Local Health
District on July 20, 1977, gave notice to the
different scavenger companies involved that if
they did not comply with County Ordinance #877,
a complaint would be filed by the Health District.
This Ordinance states in part: Ila means of
covering and containing the refuse or commercial
garbage securely within the hauling body of every
vehicle used by any person in the collection and
transportation of refuse or commercial garbage
shall be provided and no refuse or commerical
garbage shall be permitted to escape from the.
vehicle."
In your letter, you ended by stating that your
request for assistance in this matter,is not only
from yourself but from your neighbors as well.
Since the San Joaquin Local Health District will
be working up a case in this matter, it is my
suggestion that you complie a listing of your
neighbors since they will be witnesses in this
matter and will be needed. I also suggest that
all evidence compiled by yourself and your
neighbors be sent to the San Joaquin Local Health
W
r
