AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL EXTRACTION AND TREATMENT SYSTEM <br />The extraction and treatment facility, incurred difficulties in the <br />electrical and instrumentation phase of construction. To date 98 <br />% of the construction is completed with the fine tuning of the <br />instrumentation yet to be completed. <br />Upon start-up of the facility, the monitoring and testing per <br />Order No. 92-143 will commence. <br />On the 1st quarter's report, Monitoring Well No. 13 groundwater <br />monitoring laboratory test results indicated the groundwater <br />constituents 1,2 Dichloroethane, Toulene and Trichloroethane were <br />detected above minimum reporting limits. <br />Subsequent tests by Superior Precision Analytical, Inc. and FGL <br />Environmental laboratories indicated "not detected at or above <br />detection limits for reporting purposes". <br />The groundwater gradient and velocity results for June 22, 1994 <br />calculates the flow in the north-easterly direction at a velocity <br />rate of 1.45 ft. per year to 23.07 ft. per year. <br />Due to the low water table, no samples were taken from Monitoring <br />Wells No. 2, 3, and 4. <br />
