The following scope of work
is proposed to achieve the above referenced objective:
0 Drill 13 soil borings to 20 feet below site grade (BSG) and
collect soil samples for lithology purposes;
0 Complete borings as gas monitoring probes using 1/4-inch
outside diameter, 3/16-inch inside diameter Tef lon2m tubing for
sampling;
0 Measure initial methane concentrations; and
0 Prepare a report documenting field activities with a site
location map, site plan showing probe locations, final boring
logs, and probe construction diagrams .
3.0 BACKGROUND
A description of the site, the geologic and hydrologic
characteristics, and the project history are summarized in the
following subsections.
3 . 1 Site Description
The Austin Road Landfill (site) , a municipal waste collection
center, is located southeast of the city of Stockton, California
immediately west of the intersection of Littlejohns Creek and
Austin Road (Drawing 1) .
