ii. creation or enhancement of oak and riparian woodlands <br /> may be required for sane projects. These riparian <br /> areas should be of appropriate width, with the <br /> successful establishment of native riparian species, <br /> such as: cottonwoods, oaks, sycamores, and willows. <br /> Revegetation plans submitted by the project sponsor <br /> shall include but are not limited to the following: <br /> (a) Tree densities <br /> (b) Species compositions <br /> (c) Amount of cover <br /> (d) Compensated revegetation for loss due to fire or <br /> Pests <br /> iii. Agriculture practices shall be incorporated into the <br /> bank or mitigation area to produce crop types such as <br /> but not limited to: alfalfa, dry pasture or native <br /> grasslands, or other crops which are compatible for <br /> foraging Swainson's hawks. <br /> iv. Fee title to land or permanent conservation easements <br /> obtained for the Department of Fish and Game, or its <br /> designee. <br /> V. Management, enhancement, restoration, and operation <br /> plans must be incorporated with the mitigation plan and <br /> implemented by the project proponent prior to project <br /> construction. <br /> vi. Project proponent would be responsible for the <br /> successful establishment of Swainson's hawk <br /> nesting/foraging areas in perpetuity. Monitoring <br /> programs will require an annual written review <br /> submitted to the DFG for the first 5 years, and <br /> thereafter written reviews will be required every 3-5 <br /> years for private mitigation projects. <br /> III. Restoration of 's hawk population. <br /> A. Support and acquire funding to continue research related to <br /> breeding success, effects of contaminants, dispersal, movement, <br /> mortality, habitat use, and other identified research needs. <br /> Responsibility: DFG Nongame Bird and Mammal Section. <br /> B.
