MEMORANDUM
October 18, 1995
TO: Fred Patterson, Recycling Coordinator
FROM: Gary Kuhlken, Stockton Fire Department
SUBJECT: GREEN MATERIALS GRINDING PROJECT AT AUSTIN ROAD AND
FRENCH CAMP LANDFILLS
Following our phone conversations of October 11, 1995, I contacted Tom Burton of the Davis
Fire Department and briefly discussed the process in question.
The process involves spreading green material over landfill areas at Austin Road and French
Camp Landfills. There is a similar project in operation in the jurisdiction of the Davis Fire
Department. The recommendation of Chief Burton was to assure adequate spacing and access
roads are maintained at the site.
Based on the diagrams and information that you provided to the Fire Department, we do not have
concerns which would prevent commencement of operations.
We appreciate your efforts and cooperation in this issue.
Gary Kulilken, Captain
Fire Prevention Division
Stockton Fire Department
