The most significant issue with <br /> respect to the operation of the Airport concerns the expanded landfill area within the <br /> 10,000 foot radius of the Airport's turbojet runway, 29R. Currently Federal Aviation <br /> Administration ( ) orders state that landfills should not be located within this radius <br /> due to the potential <br /> bird attractant which nay create a safety hazard for aires-rft. <br /> Airport staff does conc= with the proposed mitigation measures presented on pages <br /> III.A.24 and III.A.25 for controlling birds which may create a safety hazard to airCZt <br /> tions.
