Records
including, but not limited to these items shall be kept and made available to the enforcement
i agency upon request:
1. Quantity and types of wastes received at the site per day and per week.
2. Quantity and types of wastes salvaged per month, if any.
I 3. Area of site utilized.
4. Number of vehicles utilizing the site per day and per week.
5. Maintain log of special occurrences.
3.9 BIRD MONITORING
f
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Manager of the Stockton Metropolitan Airport
(Airport) have indicated concern about the potential for conflict of aviation operations with birds
which are often associated with landfill operations. Proper management methods at a landfill can
adequately minimize the number of landfill-related birds in the vicinity of a landfill, as has been
shown by the lack of current bird activity in conflict with aviation operations. According to
personnel at the Airport and the FAA, there have been no recopied bird strikes at the Stockton
Metropolitan Airport which were associated with the Austin Road Landfill.
Due to the proximity of the landfill to the Airport, bird activity at the landfill will be closely
I monitored. It is anticipated that approximate bird count records will be maintained by the landfill
operator and reported to the City on a to-be-determined basis.
i
R.W.Beck and Aesodaue
City of Stock'_- 1811 002
