MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> CITY OF STOCKTON <br /> AUSTIN ROAD LANDFILL GROUNDWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> RECEIVING WATER MONITORING <br /> All receiving water(Littlejohn Creek) samples shall be grab samples. Samples should be <br /> representative of the volume and flow in the receiving water. If there is no flow in the receiving <br /> water at Station R-1,then the Discharger is not required to sample at Station R-2. Receiving <br /> water samples shall be taken from the following: <br /> Station Description <br /> R-1 Upstream and out of the influence of the discharge to <br /> Littlejohn Creek <br /> R-2 500 feet downstream of the discharge to Littlejohns Creek <br /> Sampling <br /> Constituents Units Station Frequency <br /> pH pH units R-1,R-2 Monthly <br /> Turbidity Turbidity units R-1,R-2 Monthly <br /> Specific µmhos/cm R-1,.R-2 Monthly <br /> Conductivity <br /> Temperature OF R-1,R-2 Monthly <br /> Dissolved Oxygen m.1 R-1,R-2 Monthly <br /> VOCs' µdl R-1,R-2 Monthly2 <br /> 1-By USEPA Method 601 or equivalent,with a maximum PQL of 0.5 µg/l. <br /> 2-If any sample shows detectable volatile organics,the Discharger shall immediately <br /> resample and reanalyze the effluent for the detected constituent(s), and shall continue <br /> sampling the effluent on a weekly basis until the constituent(s) concentrations are <br /> below detection. <br /> In conducting the receiving water sampling, a log shall be kept of the receiving water conditions <br /> throughout the reach bounded by Stations R-1 and R-2. Attention shall be given to the presence <br /> or absence of: <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter c. Bottom deposits <br /> b. Discoloration d.Aquatic life <br /> Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring report. <br />
