KLEBNFELDER <br /> These groups, in order of predominance in the vicinity of the landfill, are described below: <br /> g P = P ty <br /> Pink (P) These soils have slopes of 2 - 15%; there is a hardpan present <br /> under some, but not all, of the soil; they are moderate to well <br /> drained; they have very slow to moderately rapid permeability; <br /> they have slow to rapid runoff; and they have slight to severe <br /> hazard of erosion. This group contains the Lithic <br /> Xerorthents-Toomes complex and the Pentz-Bellota complex. <br /> These soils have a wide range of characteristics because they <br /> are associations of soils mapped as one unit. This is the <br /> predominant group of soils within a one mile radius of the <br /> landfill. <br /> Yellow (Y) These soils have slopes of 2 - 15%; there is a hardpan present; <br /> they are moderately well drained; they have very slow <br /> permeability; they have slow to moderate runoff and they have <br /> moderate hazard of erosion. This group contains the <br /> Keyes- ellota complex, the Keyes-Redding complex, the <br /> Pardee cobbly loam and the Redding gravelly loam. This is the _ <br /> second most predominant group of soils within a one mile <br /> radius of the landfill. <br /> Orange (0) These soils have slopes of 15 - 50%; there is no hardpan <br /> present; they are to well drained; they have moderately rapid <br /> permeability; they have rapid runoff; and they have severe <br /> hazard of erosion. This group contains the Pentz sandy loam. <br /> This is the third most predominant group of soils within a one <br /> mile radius of the landfill. <br /> Brown (B) These soils have slopes of 0 - 2%; there is no hardpan present; <br /> they are moderately well to well drained; they have moderately <br /> slow permeability; they have very slow to slow runoff; and they <br /> have slight hazard of erosion. This group contains the <br /> Hicksville gravelly loam, the Pardee gravelly loam, the Peters <br /> gravelly loam and the Yellowlark gravelly loam. <br /> FOOTHILL 7 <br />
