KLEINFELDER <br /> 2 LANDFILL CHARACTERISTICS <br /> 2.1 SITE OPERATION AND OWNERSHIP , <br /> The following information regarding site ownership and operation was obtained from files <br /> of the San Joaquin County Solid Waste Division and discussions with Mr. Tom Horton, <br /> Solid Waste Manager. <br /> Foothill Sanitary landfill commenced operations in (1965). The site operator from that <br /> time until the present has been: <br /> Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Inc., a California Corporation <br /> P.O. Box 1528 <br /> vr; Stockton, California 95201 <br /> At the time of commencement of operations in 1965, the site was owned by Mr. Howard <br /> Lewis et al., and leased to Foothill Sanitary Landfill, Inc. The most recent available <br /> address for Mr. Howard C. Lewis is: <br /> Mr. Howard C. Lewis <br /> P.O. Box 411 <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Landfill operations were carried out under this agreement until March 1988. Under the <br /> agreement, the land which could be leased for disposal (consisting of 640 acres) was only a <br /> portion of the 800 acres currently permitted for disposal. <br /> On March 15, 1988, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 88- <br /> 201, under which the County of San Joaquin took possession of the property. The County, <br /> as current owner, allows Foothill, Inc, to continue disposal practices on the permitted site <br /> property consisting of Assessor Parcel Numbers 093-43-01 and 093-44-01 (see Plate 1-7) <br /> FOOTHILL 12 <br />
