3.4 RESULTS
Table 5 summarizes the analytical results. Complete analytical
reports are included in Appendix E. Appendix F contains field infor-
mation including EMCON's sample identification number and date and
time of sample collection. Wind data recorded during ambient air
sampling are included in Appendix G. The data indicate that the wind
was predominantly from west to northwest with an average wind speed of
3.8 miles per hour.
Benzene, methylene chloride, tetrachloroethylene, carbon tetrachlo-
ride, 1,1,1 -trichloroethane, and trichloroethylene were detected in
one or more ambient air samples. Benzene, carbon tetrachloride, and
1,1,1 -trichloroethane concentrations were at or below their respective
regulatory detection limits. Methylene chloride, carbon tetrachlo-
ride, and trichloroethylene were detected only in downwind ambient air
samples. The concentrations of the other VOCs (benzene, tetrachloro-
ethylene, and 1,1,1 -trichloroethane) were relatively similar in upwind
and downwind ambient air.
PJ9 9390405.00D 3-2 Rev. 0 09/07/88
Emcon Associates
