Data accuracy is assessed by spiking a sample with a known concentra- <br />tion of a surrogate compound and comparing the measured concentration <br />to the known spike concentration. Data accuracy results are summa- <br />rized in Table 9 for five VOCs in the certified reference mixture: <br />vinyl chloride, benzene, tetrachloroethylene, carbon tetrachloride, <br />and chloroform. Analytical reports are included in Appendix H. Mean <br />percent recovery was 87 to 97 percent, with standard deviation from 4 <br />to 15 percent. <br />Additional quality control checks were performed by analyzing zero air <br />(VOC-free) blanks on each day of analysis. No VOCs were detected <br />above the laboratory detection limits.
