■ If prohibited wastes are delivered to the Foothill
Sanitary Landfill, the persons or firms delivering such
wastes will be required to remove the waste from the site
immediately, but no later than 48 hours. Such waste
shall be disposed of by the responsible party as
prescribed by State and Federal laws.
E Any collector who removes such hazardous materials, shall
present to the San Joaquin County Solid waste Division
proof (proper documents and/or manifest) that subject
materials were disposed of properly.
E If prohibited wastes are detected at the site, and the
responsible delivering party does not safely remove the
waste, the County will then contract with a hazaradous
waste hauler for removal and ultimate legal disposal. The
responsible party will be billed for associated costs.
0 Further information regarding proper disposal of the
prohibited wastes listed above is available from the San
Joaquin Local Health District by telephone at
(209) 468-3400.
N Solid waste haulers who do not comply with the
requirements of the load checking program stated herein
will be prohibited from using the Foothill Sanitary
Landfill for disposal.
A copy of this notification has been sent to all solid waste
haulers who use the Foothill Sanitary Landfill. Your
cooperation in making this program successful is appreciated.
If you have any questions please contact the Solid Waste
Division at (209) 468-3066.
Very truly yours,
TOM HORTON
Solid Waste Manager
