Wood bros. utilized the backhoe to mix bentonite <br />with soil for backfill for the soils gas trench. Wood Bros. backfilled and compacted the northern soils gas <br />trench up the eastern slope. Wood Bros. had laborers placing the bentonite plug for lysimeter #4. Wood Bros. <br />continued to smooth drum roll the northern slope and floor of Module 1. Wood Bros. continued to weld and <br />place the 4" perforated pipe for the soil gas system. Wood Bros. utilized the Case tractor to remove <br />foundation layer material that was over built. Wood Bros. started grading the V ditches to finish grade. <br />Wood bros. started excavating the southern soil gas riser trench utilizing the backhoe. Valley trenching <br />worked on the eastern and southern anchor trench. 0 <br />Surveyors Group continued to check finish grade on the foundation layer and the LCRS V ditches. <br />Industrial fence continued to augured fence postholes utilizing the Bobcat with auger. <br />Vector Engineering, Inc. CQA observed processing, compaction and tested compaction of the foundation <br />layer and subgrade materials placed. CQA performed several density tests with all tests meeting the required <br />specifications. CQA observed pipe welding, geotextile placement and backfill of the soil gas system with <br />3/8" pea gravel. CQA observed installation and tested the bentonite / soil mix. <br />Vector discussed with Wood bros. will continue placement of gravel, welding of pipe and excavation of the soil gas trenches. Wood bros. will <br />MC% and compact the southern slope and the V ditches. D&E will not start liner installation today. Industrial fence wanted to know if the fence <br />was supposed to run straight or turn with the existing fence line. CQA discussed this with the site manager whom wants the fence line to be a <br />straight shot.
