Wood Bros welded 4" perforated LCRS pipe in the
northern most V ditch.
D&E unloaded 2 loads of Bentofix NWL35 totaling approximately 74,4402 . D&E and Wood Bros prior to
installation of liner materials smooth drum rolled the subgrade. D&E continued installation of GCL rolls
with a minimum of 351bs peel and 60mil double textured liner. D&E continued to deploy on the Northern
and eastern slopes of Module 1. D&E installed a total of 48 panels of GCL totaling approximately 62,670ft2
and 36 panels of geomembrane totaling approximately 66,994ft2 all panels were overlapped and seamed per
specifications. D&E performed air tests on some seams with all tests performed meeting the project
requirements. D&E performed vacuum tests on repairs performed on the floor of Module 1. D&E placed
sandbags as ballast on the liner edges prior to leaving the site.
Vector Engineering, Inc. CQA attended the weekly construction meeting. CQA observed grading of LCRS
drainage aggregate. CQA observed and logged subgrade acceptance, panel deployment, seaming, repairs, air
tests and vacuum tests performed on the liner materials. CQA marked destructive samples on the liner
material. CQA walked the liner where the backhoe had traveled on top of the composite materials and
marked 2 repairs to be performed by D&E. CQA received a bucket of proposed sump aggregate from Wood
Brothers not graded per spec just to show type of material.
Vector discussed with Wood bros. cleaned the geocomposite to expose the liner underneath the access ramp so CQA could look for any damage..
Wood Brothers will not have any rubber tired equipment on the liner or drainage aggregate.
File Name: Foothill Landfill Prepared By: Frank Dell -Era Reviewed By:
