Y L
The amendment proposes to relocate the Collection/Staging/Processing area for appliances, refrigerant
units, and universal waste. The Appliance Collection/Staging/Processing Area proposes to locate at the
southeast corner of the transfer building. Refrigeration units are staged on the tipping floor near the
metals processing area on the general public self haul side of the transfer building.Non-refrigeration
units, such as washers and dryers, are staged in the appliance processing area on the tipping floor. The
Recycling Materials Staging/Secondary Processing Area south of the station is used as a secondary
staging area for appliance processing to allow for flexibility in times of overflow. The change will allow
the facility to-operate at a higher level of efficiency.
The EHD finds that the proposed change is consistent with all applicable certified and/or adopted
California Environmental Quality Act documents, is consistent with the State Minimum Standards for
Transfer/Processing Facilities and does not conflict with the terms and conditions of the SWFP. The
EHD approved the amendment on October 3,2007.
Where a copy of the application can be reviewed
A copy of the approved application for the TPR amendment is available for public review by appointment
at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department offices located at 600 E Main St, Stockton,
CA 95202.
LEA contact information
If you have any questions after reviewing the above information or would like to schedule an appointment
to review the TPR amendment, please contact Robert McClellon at(209)468-0332 or
n-ncclellon@sjcehd.com.
Appeals Process Information
For information about the appeals process to challenge the Environmental Health Department's approval
of the TPR amendment, please contact Robert McClellon at(209)468-0332 or rmcclellon@sjcehd.com.
