i <br /> B. The California Waste Removal Systems MRF is owned and operated <br /> by California Waste Removal Systems, Inc. , a private company <br /> located in Lodi . It accepts and processes source separated <br /> residential, commercial, and industrial recyclable materials. <br /> It also includes a transfer station where sorting occurs <br /> before transporting waste to the North County Landfill. About <br /> 28 percent of the waste going through the facility is <br /> diverted. The site also includes a permitted compost <br /> facility. <br /> C. The Stockton East Side Transfer Station is a privately owned <br /> and operated transfer station that handles primarily <br /> commercial and industrial waste. Currently, about 20 percent <br /> of the waste that passes through this facility is diverted <br /> from the waste stream. It is permitted to handle a maximum of <br /> 512 tons per day. <br /> D. The Forward Incorporated MRF is located south of Stockton and <br /> is owned and operated by Forward, Inc. , a private collection <br /> company and landfill. It consists of a 12, 000 square foot <br /> building that is permitted to accept about 250 tons a day. <br /> However, the facility is seeking to increase its permitted <br /> capacity. Currently, about 72 percent of the waste passing <br /> through this facility is being diverted. <br /> E. The Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer Station <br /> is a County owned and operated MRF with a 125, 000 square foot <br /> building. Waste from the Central County Area is delivered <br /> inside of the building where it is sorted to remove recyclable <br /> materials and green waste. The residual waste which is not <br /> recycled is transferred to one of the County landfills. This <br /> facility is open to the public. <br /> F. The Independent Trucking Company Transfer Station and <br /> Recycling Center does business as Delta Paper Stock Company. <br /> It is privately owned and operated within the City of Stockton <br /> by the City' s franchised residential refuse collector. It is <br /> permitted to receive up to 250 tons per day of residential and <br /> commercial waste. Incoming curbside collected recycled <br /> material is dumped onto a sorting floor where recycled <br /> materials are pushed into a baler for processing for market. <br /> Residuals are taken to the Forward, Inc. , Landfill for <br /> disposal .
