Staffing
Onsite Electronics Recycling will provide two full time staff members at the Lovelace Facility to
collect and dismantle electronics waste. These personnel will assist residents with unloading
their electronics wastes, and then disassemble the material, sorting it into its respective recycling
commodity. While working, all personnel will wear a uniform and behave in a professional and
courteous manner.
The following chart summarizes the average daily rate of electronics currently collected in San
Joaquin County by location, based on data from January through July 2004.
Lovelace North County Foothill
Sunday 14 9 2
Monday 20 8 2
Tuesday 23 10 2
Wednesday 32 8 1
Thursday 22 7 1
Friday 20 7 1
Saturday 25 11 2
Total Annual Units 8085 3200 140
Based on the this information, Onsite Electronics Recycling proposes to initially provide staffing
every day except for Sunday, when the lowest level of electronics are collected at Lovelace.
ANIL Only one staff member will work on Monday and Tuesday with both staff members working the
other days of the week (excepting Sunday). This will allow for the highest level of service
-1 utilizing a 40 hour employee workweek. As needed, additional subcontracted staffing will be
provided to assist full time employees.
Employee Work Schedule
The following table outlines the proposed work schedule:
Employee I Employee 2 Part Time Emp.
Sunday Off Off Off
Monday 7:00-4:00 Off 8:00— 5:00
Tuesday Off 8:00—5:00 8:00—5:00
Wednesday 7:00—4:00 8:00—5:00
Thursday 7:00—4:00 8:00—5:00
Friday 7:00—4:00 8:00—5:00
Saturday 1 7:00—4:00 8:00—5:00
Based on similar programs, this schedule should allow ample time for employees to unload and
dismantle all materials brought in each day. In unexpected peak times, employees will still be
able to easily unload all materials brought in, and if necessary will stack the units on pallets for
later dismantling, thus not causing any customer wait time or traffic back ups. If employees are
is
San Joaquin County Proposal Page 9 of 22
