Exhibit 7
LOVELACE MATERIALS RECOVERY FACILITY
AND TRANSFER STATION
Requirements of State Laws prohibit the disposal of hazardous wastes and liquids at the
Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer Station. To monitor compliance with these
requirements, a Load Checking Program has been implemented for the Lovelace Materials
Recovery Facility and Transfer Station for detecting hazardous wastes and liquids which are
prohibited at the site. The following elements of the program have been initiated at the site:
➢ Wastes which are prohibited are the following:
• Chemicals or chemical sludge which is toxic, corrosive, an irritant,or a strong
sensitizer
• Drugs
• Infectious wastes
• Radioactive wastes
• Flammables or explosives
• Free liquids, including liquid residues in containers or cans which are greater than
one gallon in volume
• Contaminated oil or fuel wastes
• Pesticides or insecticides(properly neutralized and rinsed containers are allowed)
• Bag house or air scrubber wastes
• Asbestos wastes
• Tank cleaning sludge or sediments
• Contaminated soil or sand
➢ If prohibited wastes are delivered to the Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and
Transfer Station and detected under the Load Checking Program, the responsible
customer will be requested to remove such waste from the site for disposal at a properly
designated disposal site. Further information regarding proper disposal of the prohibited
wastes listed above is available from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department by calling(209)468-3420.
➢ Further information on recycling of used motor oil and other recyclables is available by
calling 1-800-CLEANUP.
➢ If prohibited wastes are disposed of at the site which the responsible delivering party will
not safely remove for disposal, the County will then contract with a hazardous waste
hauler for removal from the Lovelace Materials Recovery Facility and Transfer Station
and ultimate legal disposal. The responsible party will be billed for associated costs.
Your cooperation with this Hazardous Waste Exclusion Program is appreciated. Help us protect
the environment and provide safe disposal of your non-hazardous waste.
22
