2 TRANSFER STATION INFORMATION <br /> 2.1 TRANSFER STATION ACTIVITIES <br /> The following sections describe the activities conducted at the LMRF&TS from materials <br /> receiving to transfer of refuse off-site as required by 14 CCR, Section 18221.6 (d). <br /> 2.1.1 MATERIALS RECEIVING <br /> Refuse vehicles enter the site via lane 3, the commercial lane. Each truck is weighed at the scale <br /> and directed to the commercial side of transfer building (i.e. west side) for unloading. Vehicles <br /> containing recyclables also enter the site via lane 3 and are weighed and directed to unload at the <br /> appropriate recyclable tip area at the MRF. Refuse and recyclable material vehicles are weighed <br /> again only if the scale house does not have a stored tare weight on file for the vehicle. Self-haul <br /> vehicles enter the site via lanes 1 and 2 including vehicles containing rock, green and yard waste, <br /> agricultural materials, wood and brush. These vehicles are charged minimum fees based on the <br /> size of the vehicle: <br /> Automobiles........................................................................$7.50 <br /> Short-bed and compact pick-up and trucks without side racks............$8.75 <br /> Full-size pick-up trucks without side racks,trailers 8 feet or less in length, <br /> And vans 8 feet or less form the last seat to the rear.......................... $14.00 <br /> All other vehicles are charged by weight..........................................$41.50/ton <br /> These vehicles are charged by the cubic yard and thus are not weighed.
