Electronics Recycler to provide dismantling services (Figure 5). Residential covered electronics <br /> (CEDs) will be sorted by refuse collectors at the self haul area and transferred via forklift to the <br /> CED Dismantling Area. Businesses with multiple CEDs will de directed past the self haul area <br /> directly to the CRT Dismantli g Area, and the Recycler will help to utiload their electronic wastes <br /> (when necessary). The materia will then be disassembled and sorted into the respective recycling <br /> commodity. The Electronics R ycler will initially provide staffip'g every day except for Sunday, <br /> when the lowest level of electron.s re collected at Lovelace. Ori y one staff member will work on <br /> Monday and Tuesday with both staff members working the ther days of the week (excepting <br /> Sunday). This will allow for the highest level of service util' ing a 40 hour employee workweek. <br /> As needed, additional staffing will be provided to assist 1 time employees. All full-time staff <br /> members will be 40-hour OSHA trained to ensure they ly understand the potential hazards of <br /> handling hazardous materials. In addition, each empl ee will receive appropriate training in <br /> electronics dismantling, proper lifting techniques and ' the Site Specific Health and Safety plan <br /> as well as the Corporate Safety Program. <br /> Types and Daily Quantities of E-Waste j <br /> It is expected that the current average daily rat of video display devices and covered electronic <br /> devices being received at the Lovelace Trans f 'Facility is expected to increase slightly with the <br /> new program. The SB50 regulations states at\any facility collecting CRT's must offer free <br /> collection days for CEDs. Lovelace Trans fe Facif ty will offer free collection of CEDs one day <br /> each month.
