i
1
Additionally, in accordance with the revised Report of Waste Discharge (May 27, 2005), wells
G-4, G-5, and G-6 are sampled for VOCs quarterly. Those analytical results are included in the
semi-annual reports.
Groundwater samples are analyzed every 5 years for the following constituents of concern
(CDCs):
Total Organic Carbon (TOC) Semi-VOCs
Inorganics (Dissolved) Chlorophenoxy Herbicides
VOCs (Extended List) Organophosphorus Compounds
Monitoring well elevations are taken quarterly and well hydrographs are included in the second
semester and annual report as directed by the current WDRs. These figures present the following
elevations:
❑ Groundwater for each quarter
❑ Top and bottom of well screen
❑ Pump intake
Surface Water
Surface water is sampled upstream of the waste management facility at background monitoring
points S-1 and S-2 and downstream at monitoring point S-4 (Figure 3) when water is flowing.
Samples are collected after the first storm of the rainy season that produces significant flow, and
quarterly thereafter when water is flowing.
Surface water samples are analyzed for the following quarterly field and monitoring parameters:
Temperature Chloride
EC Nitrate-Nitrogen
pH Sulfate
Turbidity Calcium
TDS Magnesium
Total Suspended Solids (TSS) Potassium
Carbonate Sodium
Bicarbonate VOCs (Short List)
1
North County RCSL 4 Public Works/Solid Waste
1st Semester 2006 Groundwater Monitoring County of San Joaquin—July 31,2006
