Groundwater flow velocity was calculated to be 30.6 feet per year with a gradient of 0.0009 foot per
year(Appendix G).
STANDARD OBSERVATIONS
The site was regularly inspected throughout the monitoring period. A summary of the observations
for each month of the quarter is enclosed(Appendix H). The information on the original field form
was transcribed for legibility. The original forms, with signature can be forwarded upon request.
RUN-OFF/RUN-ON FACILITIES
General
The Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill utilizes a single facility to control run-off and run-on: a perimeter
berm/road surrounding the site, which generally prevents any water from entering the site. On the
inside of this road is a ditch that carries all surface runoff from the unit to a storm water retention
pond located at the south end of the site. Near the southeast corner of the site, a small culvert under
the road allows accumulated rainfall to drain from the property to the east into the drainage ditch and
on to the retention pond.
The run-off/run-on facilities were not breeched the past quarter. The facilities will continue to be
monitored.
HISTORICAL TIME SERIES PLOTS
As required, historical time series plots are included (Appendix F). Note that constituents that are
not detected are plotted at a value of half their respective detection limits. Outliers were included in
all plots as directed by RWQCB staff.
Harney Lane Sanitary Landfill Department of Public Works/Solid Waste
2nd Quarter 2007 Groundwater Monitoring Report County of San Joaquin—July 15,2007
7
