In 1985, Kleinfelder conducted a survey of wells within one mile of the site perimeter. <br />A total of five wells were identified within a one -mile radius of the site. The depths of <br />four of the wells were measured and ranged from 217 feet to 445 feet below ground <br />surface (5 feet to —195 feet elevation relative to sea level). <br />The groundwater monitoring system at the landfill is comprised of an upgradient well <br />(MW -1) and downgradient wells MW -2 and MW -3. Groundwater elevations range from <br />about 47 feet to 52 feet mean sea level (MSL).
