Groundwater samples are analyzed every 5 years for the following Constituents of Concern (CDCs): • Total Organic Carbon • Inorganics (dissolved) • VOCs (extended list) • Semivolatile Organic Compounds • Chlorophenexy Herbicides • Organophosphorous Compounds Groundwater samples were analyzed for COCs during the second semester 2009 monitoring event. The next monitoring event for Groundwater COCs will occur during the second semester of 2014. Monitoringwell elevations are taken quarterly. H dro ra hs are included in the second semester and annual q Y Y g p report in accordance with the current WDRs. These figures present the following elevations: • Groundwater for eachq uarter • Top and bottom of well screen • Pump intake Surface Water Surface water samples are collected after the first storm of the rainy season that produces significant flow and semiannually thereafter, when water is flowing. Surface water samples are collected from monitoring points S-1 (upstream) and S-2 (downstream) of the landfill (Figure 3). Surface water samples are analyzed for the following field and monitoring parameters semiannually: Temperature . Chloride • Electrical Conductivity • Sulfate • pH . Nitrate-Nitrogen • Turbidity • Calcium • Total Dissolved Solids . Magnesium • Carbonate Alkalinity . Sodium • Bicarbonate Alkalinity . Potassium • VOCs Surface water samples are also analyzed for the following CDCs every 5 years: • Total Organic Carbon • Semi-Volatile Organic Compounds • Inorganics (dissolved) . Chlorophenoxy Herbicides • VOCs (extended list) . Organophosphorous Compounds Surface water samples were analyzed for COCs during the first quarter 2009 monitoring event and last collected during the first quarter 2011.
