All wells in LF-1 will continue to be monitored and tuned to maximize LFG recovery
operations without stressing methanogens or causing air infiltration. The tuning of the
13 extraction wells in LF-1 could continue into the spring of 2017 before optimum
vacuum settings throughout the entire field are obtained.
Wells GX-14, GX-15, GX-16, and GX-17 are healthy wells located in the new waste of
lined landfill LF-2 and are not associated with the EFS for LF-1. Their monitoring results
indicate they are good producers of methane and should continue to be monitored and
tuned until the optimum vacuum setting is determined.
.0 SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
The initial soil gas testing of the deepest probe from new tri-level SG-2A, SG-3A, SG-6A,
and SG-11A indicated that VOCs were detected in all samples. As an immediate follow
up action, SCS has been instructed to collect TO-15 samples from all levels of the new
tri-level SG probes to assist the County in assessing the extent of the LFG migration. The
data from a complete second round of testing of the tri-level SG probes will be reported
in Second 2016 Semiannual Monitoring Report.
The analytical results from existing single-level probes SG-1, SG-4, SG-5, SG-7, SG-8,
SG-9, and SG-10 are consistent with previous test results, indicating VOCs were detected
in all locations.
Following the collection of a complete set of TO-15 analytical results for the new tri-
level probes a Phase II investigation work plan and schedule will be developed. The
Phase II work plan and schedule will be included in the Second 2016 Semiannual
Monitoring Report.
7.0 LIMITATIONS
The services described in this report were performed consistent with generally accepted
professional consulting principles and practices.
