Job Safety Analysis <br /> Mobilization/Demobilization Insect/Animal Bits . Review injury potential and types of snakes <br /> with workers <br /> • Avoid insect nests areas, likely habitats of snakes <br /> outside work areas <br /> • Emphasize The Buddy System where such injury <br /> potential exists <br /> • Use insect repellent,wear PPE to protect against <br /> sting/bite injuries <br /> • Walk down work areas prior to activities <br /> Mobilization/Demobilization Trailer Transport . Ensure trailer is hooked up correctly, lights are working, <br /> and the tires are inflated to the proper amount <br /> • Check pickup truck transmission and wheels before <br /> transporting <br /> • Chock trailer tires <br /> • Ensure equipment in trailer is secure prior to transport <br /> Mobilization/Demobilization Hot Surfaces . Use proper work gloves and clothing to protect workers <br /> from skin burns when handling, hot equipment <br /> • Allow equipment to cool down prior to refueling <br /> Mobilization/Demobilization Fire . Eliminate sources of ignition from the work area <br /> • Prohibit Smoking <br /> • Designate areas with non-combustible ash containers <br /> • Provide ABC (or equivalent)fire extinguishers for all <br /> work,flammable storage areas,fuel powered <br /> generators and compressors <br /> • Store flammable liquids in well ventilated areas <br /> • Prohibit storage,transfer of flammable liquids in plastic <br /> containers <br /> • Post"NO SMOKING'signs <br /> • Store combustible materials away from flammables <br /> • Store all compressed gas cylinders upright, secured, <br /> caps in place when not in use <br /> • Separate Flammables and Oxidizers by 20 feet <br /> minimum <br /> • Bonding/grounding device during flammable liquid <br /> transfer <br />
