These regulations have
the same force of law as court decisions or legislation.
Before an agency may enforce a new or revised regulation,
it must first be approved by the California Office of
Adininistrative Law. When approved regulations are filed
with the Secretary of State's office, they become law.
Unless otherwise stipulated, regulations take effect 30
days after filing.
The body of law, which incorporates all of the approved
regulations of State agencies, is known as the Official
California Code of Regulations.
The Official California Code of Regulations, published for
the State of California by Barclays Law Publishers, is
organized in 26 separate Titles. Each Title contains the
regulations of one or more State agencies.
The Official California Code of Regulations is amended
each Monday, incorporating recently approved changes
and additions to the regulations of State agencies.
