Solid waste. <br /> 11) Chapter 1095 of the Statutes of 1989 recodified <br /> substantially all of the statutes relating to solid waste into the <br /> California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989 <br /> (hereafter the act) in the Public Resources Code, and it <br /> created a new California Integrated Waste Management <br /> Board to administer the new act. Chapter 1095 also made <br /> substantial changes to the solid waste planning requirements <br /> for cities and counties, requiring a countywide integrated <br /> waste management plan of specified contents instead of the <br /> former county solid waste management plan. That statute <br /> contained a clause subordinating its repeal of provisions of <br /> Title 7.2 (commencing with Section 66700) of the <br /> Government Code to any other act which became effective <br /> on or before January 1, 1990,which affected the same sections <br /> repealed by Chapter 1095.
