ENV/RONMENT,4L
TECHNOLOG/ES
Section H Certification. will be submitted by the generator as proof of the accuracy of the
information summarized in Sections E, F, and G of the CSDF. Copies of the relevant reports
containing State-certified laboratory certificates of the analytical results summarized in Sections
E, F, and G must also be submitted by the generator to Forward. Certification of the data in the
CSDF by a registered geologist, professional engineer, or engineering geologist is required in
order for Forward to process the form.
1
5.4 Contaminated Soil Acceptance Decision Procedure
Forward will determine whether the contaminated soil described in the Waste Characterization
Form and the Contaminated soil Description form meets all of the requirements specified in this
program. The criteria to be used by Forward are as follows:
• are the historical chemical uses of the contaminated soil known or not?
• has the contaminated soil been screened for chemical hazards?
• are representative samples and analyses, including hot spots, available?
• are valid chemical data presentedfor all portions of the contaminated soil?
• will additional data be required prior to contaminated soil acceptance?
The application of these criteria is shown in the decision tree in Figure 4. Based on this
evaluation process, Forward will classify the contaminated soil as to soil type, as discussed in
Section 3. Forward will then follow self-implementing procedures for accepting the
contaminated soil, or will seek regulatory approval on a case-by-case basis, as appropriate.
13
7255 Saroni Drive•Ookiond,Calilornia,USA 94611
TEL(415)339-1543•FAX(415)339-6775
