F. Covered Load Policy <br /> All loads arriving at County disposal sites are required to be <br /> properly Carped as partof the County's Vehicle Tarping <br /> Program. Users who arrive with uncovered loads in pickup <br /> trucks and utility trailers have the option of paying a double <br /> disposal fee or purchasing a tarp. All other uncovered loads <br /> are charged a double disposal fee. <br /> G. Waste Diversion Programs at Disposal Sites: <br /> As part of its integrated waste management planning, the County <br /> diverts recyclable materials at its disposal sites wherever <br /> practical. <br /> Some diversion has been done at Lovelace TS for several years. <br /> In 1993 , scrap metal and tires were diverted at the Lovelace <br /> TS. <br /> A diversion program was initiated at the NCRCSL with the <br /> completion of the Recycling Center in February of 1992 . <br /> Materials recycled include tires, wood, aluminum, scrap metal, <br /> white goods, clothing, glass, plastic, newspaper, and <br /> recyclable HHW (used motor oil, antifreeze, spent lead acid <br /> batteries and latex paint) . <br /> The F , <br /> orward Inc. SL has a recycling program targeting wood, <br /> all grades of paper, cardboard, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, <br /> glass and plastics. Forward, Inc. also recovers asphalt and <br /> concrete from its industrial and commercial waste stream. <br /> 7 <br />
