B. Any deviation from the manufacturers' printed recommendations shall be <br /> explained and acknowledged as correct for the circumstances, in writing by the <br /> particular manufacturer. The CONTRACTOR will be held responsible for all <br /> installations not conforming to the manufacturers' recommendations. If any item <br /> of material or equipment is found to be installed not in accordance with the <br /> manufacturer's recommendations, the CONTRACTOR shall make all changes <br /> necessary to achieve such compliance. <br /> 1.10 WORK QUALITY <br /> A. Work shall be performed by mechanics and workers skilled and experienced in <br /> the fabrication and installation of the Work feature involved. All Work under this <br /> Contract shall be performed in accordance with the best practices of the various <br /> trades involved and in accordance with the Construction Drawings, reviewed shop <br /> drawings, and the Agreement Conditions. <br /> B. All Work shall be erected and installed plumb, level, square and true, or true to <br /> indicated angle, and in proper alignment and relationship to the Work of other <br /> trades. All finished Work shall be free from defects and damage. <br /> C. The QA/QC CONSULTANT reserves the right to reject any materials and Work <br /> quality that are not considered to be up to the general standards of the various <br /> trades involved. Such inferior material or Work quality shall be repaired or <br /> replaced, as directed, at no additional cost to the OWNER. <br /> 1.11 FIELD MEASUREMENT <br /> A. CONTRACTOR shall secure all field measurements required for proper and <br /> accurate fabrication and installation of the Work included in this Contract. Exact <br /> measurements are the CONTRACTOR's responsibility. The CONTRACTOR <br /> shall verify all dimensions in the field. <br /> 1.12 ACCESS TO WORK <br /> A. The authorized representatives of the following agencies will also have the right <br /> of access to inspect the Work covered by these Contract Documents during the <br /> performance of this Contract: <br /> 1. California Integrated Waste Management Board. <br /> 2. San Joaquin County Department of Health Services. <br /> 3. San Joaquin County Air Pollution Control District. <br /> 4. Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board. <br /> 5. Other Local, State, and Federal Agencies. <br /> B. These inspections will be performed in the presence of the OWNER and QA/QC <br /> CONSULTANT. Reasonable facilities for the proper handling and inspection of <br /> the materials and the Work shall be furnished by the CONTRACTOR. <br /> 1.13 TESTING LABORATORY <br /> A. The QA/QC CONSULTANT will select and pay for the services of a testing <br /> laboratory(s) to conduct earthwork and other tests as required in the CQA Manual, <br /> except where the CONTRACTOR is specifically required to perform the testing. <br /> The costs of retests or additional testing caused by the CONTRACTOR's <br /> operations maybe deducted from the payment due the CONTRACTOR. <br /> FORWARD LANDFILL 01100 <br /> 4 SUMMARY <br />
