The facility remains in corrective action proof monitoring from corrective actions implemented in
1995.
Austin Road unit has a known VOC release and ongoing pump and treat groundwater remediation.
Groundwater flow direction is apparently changing from northeast to northwest. Likely new monitor wells are
necessary to track the vertical and lateral extent of the Austin Road contaminant plume.
The monitoring ports of two pan lysimeters were buried and not available for sampling. The discharger must clear
these monitoring ports and collect samples next quarter.
RWQCB Staff Signature: / a
Date: 5 May 2004
X
Not required in a quarterly
report.
X
SAB
X
SAB
Comments (to be entered into SWIM):
Old Forward Landfill has a history, since 1988 of intermittent, low level VOC and inorganic concentrations greater
than background.
