approximately 6 feet of radius of influence overlap. Additional wells will be installed as
necessary in the next phase, with spacing based on the monitoring results of the 39 probes
and 13 wells installed.
4.2 PROBE INSTALLATION
Multi -depth gas monitoring probes will be installed along the western boundary of the
landfill as shown in Figure 2. Construction of the probe will be as shown on Figure 3. A
cluster of three probes will be installed in each borehole with depths of 10 feet, 20 feet,
and 35 feet. A concrete vault will be installed flush with grade with each probe identified
with an I.D. tag.
4.3 GAS EXTRACTION WELL INSTALLATION
F
11
I'
I
Thirteen gas extraction wells will be installed during the initial phase as shown on Figure 2.
Construction of the LFG extraction wells will be as shown on Figure 4. The wells will 30
feet deep, consisting of 2 -inch schedule 80 PVC pipe. The lower 10 feet will be perforated
and the upper 20 feet will be solid pipe. Each well will be connected to the existing gas
header system and have a monitoring port and valve to adjust the vacuum to the well.
T Leiki11 ti] R 10M.30I O7 iVIMU111A, 1_13010
Forward will monitor these wells and probes to determine the effectiveness of the initial
system installed. The data will be evaluated and a determination will be made regarding
the need for, and location of, additional LFG extraction wells for the next phase.
10
Installation Work Plan to Remediate landfill Gas Migration
J:\Allied\Forward\Workplan\Forward Evaluation - rev4.doc:9/15/2004
