He stated that work on the lysimeters in the lechate pond and on the access road would be performed throughout the day. Backfilling of the west FU-03 cell anchor trench was also performed in the morning on the northern half. The blade graded the access road and in the afternoon, the scraper began hauling stockpiled material to the access road. GSE arrived on site and began deployment of the GCL and 60 mil liner on the southern half of the cell west slope. Air and vacuum box testing,repairs and destructive sample cutting were performed in the late afternoon. Sandbags were placed on and under the west toe of slope liner of the cell to protect the GCL beneath. Two(2)destructive samples were marked for testing at random locations. GSE cut their samples; their portions were tested and were within specification. Butch S. (Forward)stated that after the completed installation by Sukut, the lysimeters in the lechate pond would be tested in the afternoon by others.
