Guinn
Construction continued using eight (8) scrapers to haul subgrade fill from the southern cut area east of the
FU -05 cell. One scraper broke down in the mid afternoon. The scrapers placed fill material from east to
®west along the piggy back slope. One dozer, with GPS, and the sheepsfoot roller worked with the scrapers.
The other dozer and sheepsfoot worked on the north slope fill area in anticipation of the hydroseeding. The
water trucks moisture conditioned the haul roads and the cut area. Pictures were taken of the settlement
markers and test pits to verify clay thicknesses on the north slope closure area.
Twenty-five (25) nuclear moisture density tests were performed on the material placed on the piggy back
slope. All tests passed the specified values in density and moisture content and the on site foreman was
verbally informed of the test results. The last of the permeability samples, P-18, was send to the Vector
laboratory for off site testing.
A GSE crew of five was on site to unload two trucks of GCL and pallets of bentonite in the morning and
filled sand bags for the rest of the day.
0 Prepared By: Reviewed By: Mt
4!23,03.
