The EHD has the following comments regarding the above referenced plan.
I. The plan lacks a drawing showing a typical LFG well/probes
2. The plan lacks a discussion and map surrounding land uses (residences and CYA).
3. The plan did not include any recent landfill gas monitoring results.
4. There are three wells that exceed the 1000 foot spacing that is required by Title 27 California Code
of Regulation (CCR), Section 20925. These wells are referred to as marginal (regarding spacing).
The plan asks for an exemption for the spacing on those wells, but Ile plan make little or no effort in
explaining why the exemption should be allowed, There is a residence directly across from GP -1 and
near GP- 25. Please include in your discussion the location of this residence. Title 27 CCR states
" (1) The lateral spacing between adjacent monitoring wells shall not exceed 1, 000 feet unless
the operator demonstrates to the satisfaction of the Epi and CIY17MB, based on the factors
specified in §20923(a)(2), that there is no potential for adverse impacts on the public health and
safety and the environment from such rvider spacing"
If you have any questions regarding this matter you can contact ine at (209) 468-0332
Sincerely,
Robert McClellon
Program Coordinator RENS
Cc: Lochlin Caffey, Allied Waste Services
Gino Yekta, CIWMB MSIOA-18
Christine Karl, CIWMB MS I OA -15
Tadese Gebre-Hawariat MSI OA -17
