' Sampling And <br /> P� g Analytical Protocol <br /> The following protocols have been developed to increase the accuracy and cam arab- <br /> groundwatcr monitoringdata. The F tY of the <br /> purposes of establishing and following.the field protocols an <br /> {1) to reduce sources of error that can be introduced during sampling and, (2) to-collect <br /> in a consistent manner so that data sets arc•cam • samples <br /> parable. When field conditions necessitate a change from the established protocols, the <br /> twsection to the <br /> necessary changes will be implemented with maintenance of Sam <br /> pUng.accurac}, and data set <br /> compayability as priorities. My modification to the standard procedures delineated.is this <br /> protocol necessitated by field conditions and the-reasons-will be noted on the Technicians Daily <br /> Report(See Section 2.7).. - <br /> Depth To water Measurements <br /> Depth to water measurements will be made in all the welts at the site prior to initiating pig <br /> and mimplin& including.wells that arc not to be sampled. Me <br /> natasurements will be made four <br /> times a Year prior to initiating each sampling round. There arc no pierzomctexs t the site: T -- <br /> depth to water measurements will be made consecudv <br /> cly,inns short s time as pvssi"bI,to reduce.- <br /> Potential errors clue to darty variations in the wafer table. <br /> Depth-to-water (DTR) will be measured .in the well to within 11100 of afoot using a <br /> conductivity-based water level indicator., Measinetuents will betaken from the north or marked <br /> side of the tap of casing of each wrll. These marks on the casings have been, surveyed by a <br /> iiecnsed surveyreiatide to mean sea level(MSL). In wells with dedicated <br /> . �� pumps,the waterlevci <br /> Pm kmerted into the well through a special hole in the well cap. The conductivity Probe and <br /> cable-will be rinsed in deionszed water before and after measuring the fast <br /> welt, and aft=each <br /> snbscucnt well. The same water level indicator will be used in each well. Depth to water <br /> measurrinent will be recorded on a field observation-sheet <br /> Monitoring Well pig Prior To Sampling <br /> Crroundvmtcr-samples will be collected fmm existing monitoring wells at Forward Landfill:aftcr <br /> purging the wei=r standing in the well. This water will be Purged using either dedicated pumps <br /> oris spcciai purge pump that is d=ntanikated between each well.
