Stirrat & Associates (BAS) is pleased to present the following report on behalf <br /> of Republic Services Inc. (RSI) to the County of San Joaquin Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD). This report describes the procedures implemented during the <br /> drilling and installation of(2) perimeter landfill gas monitoring probes at Forward Landfill <br /> (Forward). The newly installed perimeter probes were constructed in accordance with <br /> Title 27 of the California Code of Regulations (CCR), Division 2, Chapter 3, Subchapter <br /> 4, Article 6, Section 20925 (Title 27). All the modifications to the probe monitoring <br /> program were performed before the California Integrated Waste Management Board's <br /> (CIWMB) October 18, 2009 deadline. <br /> The Forward Landfill is located at 9999 South Austen Road In Manteca, California. A <br /> Site Location Map showing the Forward Landfill is included as Figure 1. The entire site <br /> area is 567 acres. Approximately 144 acres of the site is occupied by the existing <br /> Forward Landfill, with another 244 acres being occupied by the existing Austin Road <br /> Landfill. Ramp and fill methods of disposal have been used to consolidate waste in both <br /> landfills throughout their operational history.
