This assessment is in <br /> response to the September 10, 2010 County of San Joaquin Environmental Health <br /> Department(EHD) "Conditions for Approval" item No. 3,provided below. <br /> September 10, 2010 Environmental Health Department (EffD) "Conditions for Approval" <br /> item No. 3 — The facility management is planning an expansion of the landfill. The planned <br /> expansion is in the same area now being proposed as the buffer area. The environmental <br /> study to allow the expansion must address to site geophysical conditions as it pertains to gas <br /> migration. The study shall assess whether a 100 foot minimum setback,from waste to the <br /> perimeter monitoring probes, is adequate. The report must be completed by a Registered <br /> Geologist or Engineering Geologist familiar with landfill gas. <br /> Assessment by Cornerstone <br /> Introduction <br /> Forward Landfill, Inc. has proposed to expand the Landfill south and west of the existing <br /> landfill footprint. The expansion project will be located adjacent to the current filling area. <br />
