ApgLoximaWy 172 <br /> acres of the site incomorate the creeks,easements,entrance facilities. <br /> §01ps. roadways.star areas,tLorrow areas, maintenance areas and <br /> other miscellaneous ooeratignal areas, The various portions of the site area <br /> are summarized on Table 3 and shown on Drawing 2. The landfill disposal <br /> area incorporates both existing and future waste management units. The <br /> existing Forward Landfill acreage includes an 8-acre hazardous waste cell <br /> known as Waste Management Unit(WMU)A. WMU A was closed in 1989 <br /> and is currently complying with post-closure monitoring requirements. <br /> The parcel referred to as the California Youth Authority(CYA)parcel <br /> encompasses approximately 126.4 acres and is north of the existing Austin <br /> Road Landfill. Potential facilities that may be constructed on this parcel <br /> include entrance and administration facilities,a temporary hazardous <br /> materials storage locker,and a soil borrow area. <br /> The triangular parcel is located in the northeast corner between Austin Road <br /> and the entrance road to the existing Austin Road Landfill and encompasses <br /> approximately 11 acres. This parcel is intended for use as floodplain <br /> containment during the 100-year storm event. Directly south of the triangular <br /> parcel is a 10.3-acre parcel proposed for use as a wetlands preserve and <br /> floodplain. <br /> A portion of the site area is consumed by creek easements. The South <br /> Branch of the South Fork of Little John's Creek is located in the southern <br /> portion of the site area and its easement comprises approximately 10.8 <br /> acres. The North Branch of the South Fork of Little John's Creek is currently <br /> located south of the existing Austin Road Landfill. The North Branch will be <br /> relocated to the north boundary of the existing`Austin Road Landfill. The <br /> easement for relocation of the North Branch comprises approximately 16.5 <br /> acres, <br /> The site is bounded on its east side by Austin Road and on a portion of its <br /> west side by Newcastle Road. The easements for Austin and Newcastle <br /> Roads encompass 1.8 and 1.6 acres, respectively. Set backs from the <br /> property line to the limits of refuse are set between 54 and 245 feet as shown DeIeW:Sec-2.0 <br /> on Drawing 4.
