Dear Mr. McClellon,
This firm represents Clean San Joaquin, a group of citizens, farmers, aviators, business leaders, and conservationists
concerned with the adverse environmental consequences associated with the operation of the Forward Landfill. Members
of Clean San Joaquin have recently observed, verified, and thoroughly documented significant landfill activities on the
proposed Forward Landfill expansion site, outside of the existing landfill area. It is our understanding that the County thus
far has taken no enforcement action regarding these activities.
Please review the letter attached to this email, which constitutes both a petition to the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department requesting a hearing pursuant to Public Resources Code section 44307, as well as a request pursuant
to the California Public Records Act. If you have any questions or concerns after reading the letter, or if you need more
specificity regarding any of these requests, please feel free to contact me directly.
Sincerely,
Peter R.
