Submitted to: Scott Purdy (GLA) Project #: 2013-AO55 Report No.: 018 Report Date: Tuesday June 11, 2013 Onsite: 06:00 - 16:30 Hrs Weather: AM: 56 OF Clear PM: 88°F Clear Guinn Construction Activities: • The Contractor continued work in the clay borrow and stockpile areas; performed ripping, moisture conditioning, and excavation. • The Contractor continued transferring clay material to the clay stockpile located along the south limits of FU - 13. The Contractor performed continuous moisture conditioning with disc and two water trucks. • The Contractor started using laborers with rakes and shovels to groom 2:1 side slope in FU -13; removed loose rocks, clods, and filled in small divots. • The Contractor continued moisture conditioning of haul roads and adjacent areas for dust control. Personnel: (1) Superintendent, (1) Grade Checker, (10) Operators, (3) laborers. Equipment: (1) 825 Cat Sheepsfoot compactor, (1) 140H Cat Motor -Grader, (2) Water trucks, (1) Cat Excavator, (3) D6 Cat Dozers, (5) 637 Cat Scrapers, (1) Cat Fork-lift. CQA (GLA) Activities: Field Personnel (1) • CQA personnel performed continuous monitoring of all construction activities insuring conformance with the project specifications. • CQA personnel monitored clay processing operation at all times insuring suitability of soil material and proper moisture conditioning. • CQA personnel performed visual and lab soil classification testing of clay soil material being stockpiled. Meetings and Site Discussions: • Met with Kevin Turner (Guinn Superintendent) in the morning to discuss planned activity for the work shift. The Contractor would continue efforts on processing and stockpiling of clay soil material.
