® - Based on the clay testing results by GLA within the WMU excavation, it does not
appear like suitable material will be found in that area. Guinn has moved 400 feet
to the east and potholed for clay. GLA is currently testing this material.
5. Issues which impede the construction schedule and corrective measures:
- Republic (Ruben) needs to order the geogrid. GLA will contact Sangeeta on the
quantity. In addition, the overlap requirements for the geogrid will be verified. A
minimum of three feet is specified for the butt seams, but the overlap for the sides
needs to be verified. Based on the amount of material and overlap, Comanco will
determine the waste percentage to give Ruben the total amount of geogrid to
order.
6. Review of submittals and RFI's:
- Buck provided the survey points on the floor of the cell with the flow lines
included. This drawing was accepted and it was noted that the control points in the
flow line were for subgrade and top of clay only and not for the LCRS gravel or
operations soil.
- Guinn is working on the leachate tank submittal and will also be providing the
submittal on the piping.
r7. Review of CQA activities-;
•
- GLA is running Proctor tests on the soils and using the results for the in-place
nuclear density testing. The moisture and density testing of the embankment fill
placement is going according to the specifications.
- GLA is continuing to conduct soils testing on the fill materials per the specified
frequency.
- GLA (Scott) delivered clay pothole samples to their geotechnical laboratory for
evaluation.
8. Health and safety/Environmental issues:
- Guinn/GLA/Republic reported no health and safety issues for the week.
- Guinn will provide copies of the weekly tailgate safety meetings to the Forward
front office who will make copies and email to Lochlin.
- Republic provided a copy of the Emergency Response Plan to all parties. A copy
has been attached to these meeting minutes.
- Guinn/Republic reported no dust control issues.
- Ruben reported that the Water Board inspector recently toured the site and that
the LEA will be conducting monthly inspections.
Forward Landfill WMU FU -13
Progress Meeting Minutes Page 3
